Eight years before working with Renata and Jim, I had undergone hernia surgery, which was, overall, a very traumatic experience for me. I spent the first 17 days living on Vicodin and pain killers, and going through anxiety and depression. It took 32 days before being able to return to my active lifestyle of running and working out.
This past year, I learned that I was going to have to have the same surgery but on the other side of my abdomen. My anxiety was high, to say the least, since I did not want to go through the same experience again.
I had heard Alpha Mind Coaching recommended by several professional athletes who had worked with them on performance. I was hesitant, however, since my first thought was of all the people who go up on stage and make fools of themselves. Renata and Jim quickly put that misconception to rest with their compassion and knowledge.
I had several sessions before and after my surgery. The day after the first session, I noticed a complete drop in my stress and anxiety. The day of the surgery, I was calm and relaxed.
The four days following surgery, I only took Advil, and within 6 days, I had returned to jogging and my normal workout routine. Not bad for a guy in his mid sixties!
I have, since then, done more sessions, improving my life in all areas, in particular, breaking the pattern of negative thinking that I had fallen into for many years. Life is good as I continue to run, bike and better myself in all areas. Thanks Renata and Jim!
